About me
Dr. Allison Levine is an Associate Professor of Counselor Education and is the Program Coordinator of the nationally ranked Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program at the University of Iowa. Dr. Levine is a counselor educator specializing in disability-informed counseling practices and pedagogy. Her research focuses on three areas: bias against people with disabilities, how counselor education programs assess students, and the systemic obstacles that hinder postsecondary success for transition-age youth with disabilities. Most recently, Dr. Levine is the PI of a $2M federal grant, Project STEM Ready-VR, which involves the use of innovative training techniques (e.g., AI avatars) to increase STEM workforce outcomes for youth with disabilities.
