About me
Becky Deitenbeck is an AI and Computer Science faculty member at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), where she leads initiatives in artificial intelligence education. With more than eight years of industry experience, Becky transitioned into academia to pursue her passion for teaching and lifelong learning.
Before joining DMACC, she spent five years building and leading the business intelligence platform at The Nebraska Medical Center. Becky is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Mississippi State University. Her research focuses on AI applications in healthcare and education, with an emphasis on expanding equitable access to technology and preparing learners to engage thoughtfully with emerging AI technologies.
