About me
Melissa is a Mathematics Consultant with the Iowa Department of Education, where she focuses on supporting teachers and leaders in implementing and strengthening best practices across all tiers of instruction. She brings a diverse perspective from her experiences as a classroom teacher, building instructional coach, and district coordinator, enabling her to address both the practical needs of educators and the systems necessary to ensure every student has access to high-quality, grade-level instruction. Outside of her professional work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and young kids, whose curiosity and love of learning inspire her both at home and in her work supporting educators across Iowa.
