About me
Tanya K. Hunt is an Education Program Consultant and STEM BEST® Program Coordinator with the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the Iowa Department of Education. She leads the coordination and advancement of the STEM BEST® Program, supporting authentic work-based learning experiences through partnerships between schools, businesses, and communities across Iowa.
With more than 15 years of experience in education, Tanya specializes in building partnerships, coordinating statewide initiatives, professional learning, program evaluation, and outreach. She is passionate about connecting people and organizations to create meaningful, real-world learning opportunities that empower students and strengthen communities.
Tanya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating Cum Laude, with an emphasis in community-based practice, child development, and family services.
