Where is the Iowa STEM Summit?
The 2026 Iowa STEM Summit: Where Bold Ideas Take Flight will be at the Iowa Events Center, Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, in Des Moines (833 5th Ave).
Check-in will take place outside of the Grand Ballroom on Level 4. We recommend coming in the northwest doors (Crocker St. and 5th Avenue), then take a left at the first hallway through the set of glass doors and head all the way to the end. There will be escalators/elevators that will bring you up to Level 4.
How do I register?
Advanced registration is required and expected to open in September. You will need a SCHED account to complete the registration. You may sign-up to receive an email when registration opens.
How much does the Iowa STEM Summit cost?
We are pleased to offer this wonderful networking and learning opportunity at no cost to attendees thanks to generous supporters and sponsors. However it is not free to host. If you can no longer join us after registering, please email so we can welcome someone else in your place. Thank you.
Are meals included?
We will provide a breakfast buffet during check-in and a plated lunch in addition to afternoon refreshments. If you have any dietary needs, please ensure these are reflected in your registration for the event. If you request a dietary accommodation, a table tent will be provided to you with your name badge. Please place this at the plate in front of you and ensure your server is aware.
Will there be a virtual option for attendees who cannot travel?
The Iowa STEM Summit is in-person only as the full experience is best shared live. We hope you are able to join us next year!
Is there a conference app or schedule I can download?
You can manage your summit attendance and schedule on Sched. Download the free mobile app or access the online version from a web browser.
Will the venue have free Wi-Fi?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi will be available. Check with staff or volunteers at the event for access.

Are there special hotel rates for attendees?
Rooms can be reserved at the Des Moines Comfort Inn & Suites Event Center (929 Third Street, Des Moines, IA 50309) next to the conference center at a discounted rate. Amenities include free onsite parking, complimentary hot deluxe breakfast buffet, complimentary guest wireless internet, refrigerator/microwave, coffee/tea maker, fitness center and indoor heated pool.
